The school is affiliated with CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi) It conducts two major examinations, ICSE for Std. X & ISC for Std. XII.
Short Break for snacks (10 minutes) and long break for lunch (40 minutes).

Yes, the remedial classes are conducted for the students with below average academic performance during sports activity time as and when required.
For admission in Jr. KG, the child should have completed 3 years and 6 months as on 31st May in the year in which they are seeking admission. Accordingly the age should be calculated for admission in corresponding grades.
Yes, French is taught as a foreign language. It is an option for 3rd language besides Sanskrit and Gujarati from Grade IV to X.
We appreciate written communication through student diary or through email to the official email id of the school (admin@sgvp.org). Parents may come and meet the teachers personally with prior appointment during activity time or during PTM.
The school diary acts as a communication bridge between school and parents. It also contains all important information like the School rules, General Information, Code of Conduct for Students, Disciplinary measures, Time schedule for the examination and other activities & celebrations etc.
The parents can send the request for leave for a day or two can be sent through the student diary in writing in case of Day Scholars and through an email to academics@sgvp.org in case of Hostel students. Application for leave must be supported with required document and approved by the Principal in advance, for more than 3 days or in case of medical reason.
"The academic session begins for Jr. KG to Grade VIII & XI, in the month of June and for Grades IX, X & XII, from 1st April every year. Annual Examination will be conducted in the month of April (for Jr KG to Grade VII) and in the month of March (for Grade VIII to XII)."
The school does have any transportation of its own. There is a separate SGVP Transport Department being managed by the trust to provide bus transport to school children. It’s optional and buses ply on pre-decided pick-up points. They charge distance-wise and appoint qualified staff in each route.
"For the next academic session, the admission process usually starts in the month of October/November, immediately after the Diwali vacation. Opening of admissions for a particular Grade depends on the availability of seats. SGVP employment policy doesn’t permit the SGVP teachers to conduct tuition classes for any SGVP students or even at their personal level after school hours.
We serve hygienic and nutritious meals. We don’t provide fast food & soft drinks. Day scholars can opt for lunch if they wish. Hostellers are offered meals 5 times a day.

Yes, the school has in-house counsellor to guide the students individually to deal with their academics, emotional and social concerns.
There is a certified Nurse available in the Wellness Centre all times. SGVP Holistic Hospital with full-fledged medical facility is there inside the school campus. The health check up is conducted annually for the students.

Yes, students do participate in tree plantation programme, visit orphanage, old age homes and hospitals to share some time with them and render services appropriate at their level, celebrated Rakshabandhan at Andh Kanya Vidhyalay, actively participating in Bala Janagraha, distributing the fruits and bed sheets to the street dwellers during winter etc.
Students are divided into 4 houses and every fortnight they have a co-curricular activity conducted in the form of Inter House Competition. Preliminary round is conducted at the class level wherein participation of every child is compulsory.
