sadguru shree madhavpriyadasji swami
Born on October 26, 1950, Madhavpriyadasji is the disciple saint of the spiritual master Sadguru Shastri Shree Dharmjivandasji, the founder of Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot, India.
After completing his high school studies in 1968 at the Gurukul Rajkot, Swamiji joined the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi (Kashi) where, in 1977, he attained Master’s degree in Vedanta with three gold medals, a rare feat. He also received two gold medals while participating in All India Debate Competition held at Tirupati on Sankhya Yoga and Vedanta in 1974. At that time, it was believed by all that wherever Swamiji is participating in any national or state level elocution competition, a gold or silver medal was sure to come.

Swamiji was bestowed with the “Sadguru” title from Acharya Shree Ajendraprasadji of Shree Laxminarayan Dev Gadi, Valdtal.
He has received an honour of “Vidwat Bhushan” from the renowned Academy of Sanskrit Research, Melkot, Karnataka.
Swamiji has been recently conferred with “Devarshi” award by the Chancellor of Sandipani Vidyaniketan, Porbandar, honorable Shree Rameshbhai Oza, the famous orator of Srimad Bhagwat, for his exemplary contribution to the society in terms of social and spiritual activities.
The visionary of the modern Gurukul at SGVP, Shastri Shree Madhavpriyadasji Swami, has broadly travelled in India and abroad in more than 20 countries to spread the true knowledge, wisdom, and to support and nurture moral values among the Indian and NRI disciples. He has attended many World Religious Congresses as a representative of India.
An extensive reader and a great scholar of religious scriptures, Swamji has studied about majority of the world religions, their philosophy and has always strived to create and an atmosphere of religious harmony and brotherhood.
At present, he is the Director of eight educational institutes where academic, social and religious values are taught to the students to develop them into proud citizens of the world. These institutes, spread over cities like Junagadh, Ahmedabad, Surat, Hyderabad, Chharodi, Mumbai, Taravada, Navsari & Banglore, are operated under the banner of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot.
Swamiji carries out enormous social supporting work for the needy. Its classic example is construction of over 500 check dams to resolve the water scarcity problem in Gujarat. He has also built schools & temples in the earthquake affected, little known villages of Kutch, Gujarat.
